Engineering Intern (Paid)
The New York State Bridge Authority (NYSBA) is offering a 12-week, full-time, paid Summer Internship Program designed for motivated individuals interested in exploring careers in public transportation and infrastructure.
Join our team in Highland, NY as an Engineering Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation of critical transportation infrastructure. This internship is ideal for students interested in structural or civil engineering who want to apply classroom knowledge to real world bridge engineering projects.
The Engineering Intern will work closely with the NYSBA engineering team, providing a well-rounded understanding of how bridges are evaluated, maintained, and improved. This role offers valuable exposure to engineering practices within a public transportation environment.
Pay Rate and Hours
- $20 per hour
- 40 hours per week (weekends off)
- Practical experience related to bridge engineering, bridge inspection and construction
- Insight into infrastructure design, maintenance, and asset management
- Exposure to public sector engineering and transportation systems

- CAD Experience Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
