WEDC Names Pam Bolton Chief Executive Officer

The Women’s Enterprise Development Center (WEDC) has named Pam Bolton its chief executive officer. Bolton brings broad leadership experience across nonprofits and social enterprises advancing health, human rights and economic opportunity. 

“Pam understands the power of entrepreneurship to strengthen lives and communities,” said Rita Ramirez, president of WEDC’s Board of Directors. “Her experience building partnerships, growing organizations and leading mission driven teams makes her an excellent choice to lead WEDC’s next chapter.” 

Bolton began her career in global public health, working to improve care for women and children in Africa and Latin America. She later held senior leadership roles at Concern Worldwide U.S. and GBCHealth, co-founded the online learning venture Tech Care for All, and led SAGECare, a social enterprise serving professionals who work with LGBTQ+ older adults. 

“WEDC helps people turn their ideas into businesses and their businesses into lifelong opportunity,” said Bolton. “As someone who’s committed to basic fairness, I’m so excited to work with our staff, board, entrepreneurs, alums and our community partners to give our participants what they need to be successful—and to keep expanding our reach so we can really boost our impact.” 

Bolton serves on the boards of Neighbors for Refugees and Erosun, Inc. She holds a Master of Health Science from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business, City University of New York.
