Celebrating those who give back to the Hudson Valley

The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV) hosted its 30th Garden Party on September 27, 2026, at Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, NY, bringing together over 325 community members and leaders to celebrate the philanthropy that strengthens the Hudson Valley.

This year, the event honored three remarkable philanthropic honorees whose generosity, leadership and commitment to their communities have made a lasting impact across the Hudson Valley: James Hoover and John Aubry of Ulster County, Jean and Ken Kearney of Putnam County, and Daniel and Michelle Lepore and family of Dutchess County. Each honoree’s story demonstrates the difference that can be made when people invest in the communities they call home.

As the nonprofit’s signature fundraising event, the Garden Party raises funds for CFHV’s Community Grants program, supporting nonprofits throughout Ulster, Putnam and Dutchess Counties as they address pressing community needs, including housing, mental health, childcare and food security and more. A generous donor has offered to match a fundraising goal of $25,000. To donate, visit the CFHV website.
