Resource Center for Accessible Living (RCAL): Jim Garvey Memorial Disability Resources Fair

Join the Resource Center for Accessible Living (RCAL) for the Jim Garvey Memorial Disability Resource Fair on Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 35 Pearl St., Kingston, NY 12401.

This free community event brings together 20+ nonprofit organizations and community resources offering information, services, and support for people with disabilities, families, caregivers, and the community.

The vendor fair runs from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, with the first hour designated as a Sensory Safe Hour, offering a quieter, slower-paced opportunity to connect with vendors and resources.

Free workshops and activities will take place throughout the day, including topics such as dementia and caregiving, self-advocacy, school refusal, and preparing young campers with disabilities for summer camp.

Children and teens can also participate in activities including Adaptive Dance, Music for All Ages, and a Teen Disability Pride Power Hour.

For the first time, the fair will also feature a small wheelchair repair clinic for minor repairs. Free lunch will be provided to attendees.
