CCE's "We Rise" Multimedia Concert Celebrating 30 Years!
On Saturday, May 18, 2019, Kingston’s Center for Creative Education will present its annual concert celebrating dance, drumming, the art of DJ-ing, the visual arts and video.
The multimedia concert, which runs from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, will be held in Kingston High School’s Auditorium, 403 Broadway. It also will feature CCE’s popular and award-winning “Energy Dance Company” and “P.O.O.K” (Percussion Orchestra of Kingston). CCE Executive Director Bryant “Drew” Andrews feels especially enthusiastic about “We Rise”.
“Proceeds from the concert will benefit CCE’s scholarship fund that makes it possible for 87% of our students to attend classes and summer camp. It also celebrates 30 years of ‘arts with a purpose’ in our community and the Hudson Valley.”
The Center for Creative Education, a 501 (c)3 located in Midtown Kingston, uses the arts to teach basic life skills such as persistence, teamwork, discipline, focus and mastery. CCE helps at-risk youth and students of all backgrounds and communities better understand their possibilities and potential by providing innovative, high quality classes in dance, music, fitness, theater, spoken word, computer arts technology and the visual arts. Refreshments and raffles will be available.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, and can be purchased here.
