Mohonk Preserve: Crag Clean-Up Day

Have you noticed small pieces of trash, climbing tape, food wrappers or water bottle caps at the crag? This type of litter is called micro-trash and, although often overlooked, has a big impact on our environment.

Join Mohonk Preserve Rangers for a Crag Clean Up Day and help make the Gunks a cleaner, healthier place! Pick up trash collection bags at the Welcome Boulder and at the top of East Trapps Connector trail on Undercliff road between 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (while supplies last) or bring your own bag and help pick up micro-trash. The person who has the heaviest bag of trash will win an Annual PLUS+ membership!

The winner will be announced at 5 p.m. at the Welcome Boulder, all trash collection bags must be handed in between 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to be considered.

This is a free event for all ages.
Registration is not required.
