Administrator
Circle of Friends for the Dying is a 501c3 nonprofit organization chartered in 2012 to create and oversee a safe, comfortable residence for terminally ill people in need of a home and primary caregiver during their final months. We also serve as an educational center for our community, as it relates to death and dying. A home for the dying in our community helps fill the gap in hospice services in Ulster and Dutchess Counties.
In this role the Administrator will:
- Use Quickbooks online
- Manage the smooth running of the office
- Manage calendars and scheduling (including Zoom meetings), coordinate meetings with Committee heads
- Attend monthly Board meetings and be in charge of distribution and follow up on objectives of Board and Committee Members
- Support all fundraising endeavors with both internal and external parties
- Assist with updating and maintaining a centralized database (Donor Perfect)
- Posting on local job boards, social media platforms, and niche non-profit sites, send Constant Contact emails
- Set up, attend and/or schedule various educational awareness and community events
- Manage and oversee the activities related to mailings and developing materials (brochure, website, business cards, stationery).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Knowledge of QB essential, DonorPerfect preferred
- Prior non-profit or community-based organization experience
- Meticulous work ethic

- Must be a strong team player with exceptional coordinating, administrative and communication capabilities
- Self directed, independent with strong anticipatory and listening skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to accept varied workload including local travel and occasional weekend work
- Confidentiality is a must in working with sensitive data
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and/or Google Sheets, Quickbooks on-line, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Constant Contact, Database Management (Donor Perfect)
