The Basics of Alzheimer's & Dementia Conversations
Potluck and Learn! A free educational program by the Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley Chapter with information on detection, risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment and more. Also gain helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia, including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving and making legal and financial plans. With questions, please call the Alzheimer's Association 1-800-272-3900. "The Basics of Alzheimer's" will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A free hour-long lunch will be held from 12:00-1:00 followed by "Dementia Conversations" from 1:00-3:00.
