Loose Gemstones Event at Kingston Fine Jewelry
Kingston Fine Jewelry is partnering with Artinian Gems and holding its first loose gemstone event on Thursday, October 13th between 10am and 7:30pm. Artinian Gems’ owner, David Artinian, is a gem hunter who travels the world to source gemstones. His journeys have taken him to Brazil, Asia, Sri Lanka and Africa. He climbs down into the mines with the miners to search for gem-quality rough (raw stones). After inspection and purchase he takes the rough to master gem cutters who shape the stones.
Brandy Pavlich, Kingston Fine Jewelry’s owner, said that “There will be more than a thousand gemstones in a variety of prices, starting at $25, so that there will be stones to fit every budget. In addition to traditional birthstones, there will be unusual stones such as spinel, sphene, alexandrite, morganite and color-changing sapphires.” She adds “We are especially pleased to be working with Artinian because in addition to their passion for gemstones, they are on a mission to use their resources to serve the surrounding communities in countries in which they mine. It is all part of Artinian’s vision to strengthen families, build community and practice fair trade. We are pleased to be working with a company that is in sync with our philosophy of doing business.”
Kingston Fine Jewelry is located at 207 Boices Lane in Kingston. The event is open to the public.
