OPEN CURRENT THEATRE is a female-helmed company flowing beyond traditional stages to ignite dialogue, connect histories, and bridge communities. Founded by Michelle (Kafel) Cintron and rooted in the Hudson Valley, we create classical and contemporary theatrical experiences as a living current—carrying vital stories, urgent questions and diverse voices while engaging dialogue wherever we travel. Theatre is a living current; through touring, education, and civic engagement, we make theatre that moves.
