The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation was started in 2004 with a mission to fund support services, education and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the 9 counties of the Hudson Valley, NY.
Executive Director, Pari Forood, has been with the organization as ED since its inception. She has a BA from Vassar and an MPA with a concentration in non-profit management from Marist College. She is the author of the true-life novel, The Gates of Light, about her time as Press Secretary to Congressman Hamilton Fish, Jr. working in Washington D.C. on immigration policy in the early 1980's, and published by West Cornwall Publishing (www.westcornwallpublishing.com) in 2015.
