On May 19, Audubon educator Kyle Blackwell leads a bird walk on the trails behind our sculpture park. On this walk, Blackwell will lead attendees on a search for the colorful and musical neotropical migrant birds on the Opus 40 property.
Mid May is peak time for many birds to be moving through the Hudson Valley and we hope to catch some on their journey. It is important for these delicate birds to occasionally stop to rest, eat and replenish throughout their long migration. The diversity of habitat on the Opus 40 property provides a lot of excitement for what could be seen! Kyle will provide tips on identifying these songbirds by sight and sound.
