SUMMARY:A Night at the ASKars - Annual Gala
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Society of Kingston (ASK) will once again host a dazzling Gala Evening\, "A Night at the ASKars" on Saturday May 20\, 2017 from 6 to 10 pm. \n\nTickets are $75 per person and are available on the ASK website\,www.askforarts.org\, or at the ASK Arts Center\, 97 Broadway in the Rondout district of Kingston. \n\n\n\nThe evening includes a delectable buffet of hot and cold items catered by Stone Soup on Broadway\, a silent auction with a wide variety of valuable items for bidding\, excellent live musical entertainment and dancing\, and of course the presentation of the three ASKar awards to the choral group Ars Choralis\; comedy performance duo Mikhail Horowitz & Gilles Malkine\; and visual artist Carol Pepper Cooper.\n\n\n\nSilent auction items include gift certificates for goods and services\, and some jewelry and home d cor pieces as well. In addition to that\, ASK offers  a 10% discount on all the art work on display in the two gallery rooms downstairs. All auction proceeds go to benefit ASK and help maintain the programs and services at the Arts Center\n\n\n\nEntertainment:\n\n\n\nJazz quartet performance in the Great Room featuring some of the Hudson Valley's most notable jazz talents. \n\nChristopher Brellochs on saxophone\,on piano is John Scanlon\,with Stephanie Lozina on bass and JJ Donahoe on drums.
