DESCRIPTION:The Ulster Chamber\, in partnership with Ulster County Tourism\, will be hosting the Inaugural Ulster County Black Business Achievement Awards and Community Connect on Wednesday\, June 15\, 2022\, from 5:00   8:00pm. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration as we honor Black business and community leaders from the past\, the present and the future.\n\n\n\nBusiness Awards\n\nPast        Everett Hodge (posthumously) ~ Everett Hodge Funeral Home\n\nPresent    Tia Ashe ~ Love Hair\n\nFuture      Kamir Hylton-Jackson ~ Benny's Tropical Ice\n\n\n\nCommunity Awards\n\nPast       NAACP Highland\, Kingston\, Ellenville\n\nPresent   Tay Fisher Fundamental Basketball Camp\n\nFuture     Kingston YMCA Farm Project Youth Crew\n\n\n\nBlack Business Leadership Award\n\nMartin & Tamika Dunkley ~ Seasoned Gives\n\n\n\nBlack Business Excellence Award\n\nKevin Bryant NYS Supreme Court Justice\n\n\n\nThis exciting evening will commence with Elder James Childs opening the ceremony in prayer\, followed by spoken word shared by Nya Speller\, Ulster County Storyteller.\n\n \n\nComplimentary refreshments will be provided by:\n\n	We Got the Juice\n	Pointe of Praise Catering\n	Kulture\n	Seasoned Delicious Foods\n	One N Only Cakes\n	Violet's Bakery\n	Benny's Tropical Ice \n\nBeverages will be provided by JK's Wine & Liquor\, Keegan Ales\, and Adams Fairacre Farms.\n\n \n\nEntertainment will include performances by Energy Dance Company\, A community Gospel Choir\, led by Pastor Doris Schuyler\, will be singing through the evening. \n\n \n\nBarbara Allen\, Author\, and Entrepreneur\, also a sixth-generation descendant of Sojourner Truth\, will be a guest speaker at the event.
