DESCRIPTION:This year SUNY Ulster's Cultural Diversity Day features "Dances with Two"\, a compelling performance and multimedia presentation facilitated by Phoenix Rising Kawamoto\, a master story weaver and educator. Phoenix will lead the audience on a journey through a number of personal experiences and challenges commonly shared by members of the LGBTQ community.\n\n\n\n"Dances with Two" serves as a mirror and a lens for participants\, increasing self-awareness through self-examination and introspection. This performance will open the minds and hearts of participants while providing tools to empower students and faculty as well as increase their cultural competence.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, winners of the annual Cultural Diversity Day poster contest from Sean Nixon's Graphic Design class will be announced.
